From the Helm-November 2017
Mother Nature and Denver Water were very kind to us this past fall with our end of season work orders and projects, allowing us to get the marina put away in a proper fashion. Also, the crew worked very hard to get all of the fall work orders completed before the snow fell.
We are planning some dock work for the 2018 season, which includes new floats at the beginning of a couple of the docks, transition plates and wheels for the gangways, and new anchor cables and anchors. A Dock replacement has been placed on the 2018 Capital Improvement fund! The final plan has not been developed as of yet for 2018 but I am looking at many options.
There are plenty of inside projects to keep Craig and I busy as well. The kayak racks will receive some reconditioning, which will help develop our welding skills, and we have a couple of small fiberglass repairs to work on as well.
The Fall 2017 Guest Surveys will be sent out to you in late November or early December. Please take a moment to participate. Your feedback let's us know how we are performing for you and gives us ideas of the areas we can improve.
Thanks to all of the marina staff for all of their safe and hard work. And best wishes to all of you for a safe and happy winter season.
I will be moonlighting at Keystone Resort this winter as I go into my 23rd season as a Keystone Ski Patroller so look for me on the Outback as well as a few of our other marina crew members.
Thanks again and have a great holiday season!
