DILLON, CO – The Town of Dillon is excited to announce two major funding awards that will support the installation of four (4) DC Fast Chargers at 700 E. Anemone Trail, just behind the Town’s digital sign. These stations will represent the first publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the Dillon community, marking a significant step toward sustainable transportation in Dillon.
On April 25, 2025, the Town received approval for a rebate through Xcel Energy’s EV Charging Infrastructure Rebate Program. The approved rebate amount is $387,803, which will be paid to the Town upon completion of the installation of the commercial electric vehicle charging stations.
Additionally, on July 30, 2025, the Town received an intent to award letter from the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) for the Charge Ahead Colorado grant. This second source of funding reinforces the Town’s commitment to meeting growing demand for EV infrastructure and plays a crucial role in bringing publicly available fast charging to Dillon.
“This project directly responds to the consistent interest we’ve heard from both residents and visitors who want greater access to EV charging,” said Town Manager Nathan Johnson. “These funding opportunities allow us to take meaningful action based on that community feedback.”
The installation of these four DC Fast Chargers supports Dillon’s sustainability goals and positions the Town as a forward-thinking destination for EV drivers in the region.
