Mission
To provide support to marina management team and leadership to the marina rental department.
Overview
The Rental Dock Lead will be responsible for training, mentoring and supervising the marina rental dock department and staff.

Marina Director, Operations Managers, Supervisors
Qualifications
- Current Aquatic Nuisance Species Inspector certification required. Annual training provided.
- Superior customer service skills required.
- Previous supervisory experience required. Previous management background preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Some college education or trade school related courses preferred.
- Previous experience in marina operations and/or marina use.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt to changing business needs due to weather, business volume, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate superior boat handling and docking practices.
- Good working knowledge of both powerboats and sailboats.
- Outboard motor experience is preferred.
- Through knowledge of all dock and ramp safety standards and an ability to communicate them in a positive and understandable manner.
- Knowledge of standard safety precautions both on and off the water.
- Ability to relate to marina customers and staff.
- Must be able to use a two-way radio and communicate professionally.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, office equipment and procedures.
- Current Red Cross CPR/AED certification. Annual training provided.
- Ability to swim.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to marina management by assuming responsibility for the overall operation of both the marina rental dock and its employees.
- Prompt attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
- Develop training guidelines for marina rental dock.
- Train, supervise and support the rental dock staff.
- Oversee the full daily operation of the marina rental dock, including all opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee and assist as needed in daily boat rental preparation.
- Oversee and assist as needed in fueling and oiling of rental boats and customer boats.
- Oversee and assist as needed in the daily upkeep and maintenance of rental boats.
- Responsible for maintaining the marina rental dock; scheduling and assisting in necessary repairs.
- Work together with service department on periodic dock and rental boat maintenance.
- Communicate with office staff regarding the rental fleet going in and out of service as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate daily boat maintenance and fuel records.
- Responsible for bi-weekly fuel orders and oil supplies.
- Assist as needed in the daily operation of the marina launch ramp and inspection station, including both opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in any ANS inspections, tagging, etc.
- Assist with the daily ANS inspection records.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate annual ANS inspections records.
- Responsible for submitting ANS inspection records to the Colorado Department of Wildlife as per state requirements.
- Responsible for assisting monitoring the inventory and ordering of all ANS supplies, such as inspection books, logs, trailer tags, inspections stickers, etc.
- Adheres to Town of Dillon policies, standards, and regulations including but not limited to proper attire, safety procedures, and overall professionalism.
- Provide support to all other marina departments as needed and as assigned by marina management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- High Risk – Possible contact with various chemicals. Exposure to sun, heat, cold, dust, precipitation, fuel, oil, grease and other conditions and chemicals commonly found in a marine environment.
- Must be capable of operating a variety of equipment, hand & power tools normally found in marina operations. Must be capable of safely maneuvering all vehicles, vessels, and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee may work near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the office, and moderate to loud while working outside. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, various pieces of office equipment, tools, and vehicles.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The individual frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The individual is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell.
The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Equipment Used:
Motorized vehicles and equipment, common hand and power tools, shovels, wrenches, mobile radio, phone, computer, calculator, and copy/fax machine.
